Rhythm 108 orange chocolate

A new find! I had signed up at work to take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning, so that meant I was making some of my easy chocolate chip cookies. Which meant I would need some chocolate. I saw this range and decided to give it a go: It is not the usual chocolate I would have used, but it seemed to be slightly more decadent so I decided to treat my co-workers with some lovely vegan chocolate to show off.

This chocolate was so creamy! I actually had to do a quadruple check of the ingredients to be certain there was zero dairy in it because it just seemed too good to be true. It just melted in your mouth and had a wonderful, rich chocolatey flavour to it. Truth be told I didn’t get very much orange flavour through at all – it could have just been plain chocolate for all I knew upon tasting it. So that was a little disappointing, as everyone knows that orange chocolate is supreme to every other type of chocolate and I had bought this for that sole reason of adding orange chocolate to my cookies.

But that isn’t the end of the world. The chocolate itself was still very rich, without being overpoweringly bitter. It definitely tasted more like a milk chocolate than a dark chocolate, which is actually quite novel these days. It melted beautifully in my cookies, and ended up with that lovely gooey texture you want in a freshly baked cookie.

Overall: 6/10. Lovely texture, but absolutely zero orange in it.
